Katie Landis was raised in Vale, Or. She attended college at Eastern Oregon University and played volleyball. After graduating with her degree in education, she returned to the Treasure Valley and began her teaching career. She was able to pursue her love of athletics by coaching volleyball and track. She truly enjoyed helping students reach their full potential both in and out of the classroom.


Katie started her Crossfit journey in 2014 to help lose the baby weight. She immediately fell in love with the community vibe and also the competitive atmosphere that Crossfit fosters. When she began coaching, she fell in love with Crossfit all over again. It is the best feeling helping people work toward their fitness goals and seeing them progress. She enjoys working with new athletes in the Crossfit 101 program because it allows them to learn the fundamentals in a way

that is not overwhelming or intimidating.


When you see her at the gym, she will likely be doing three things at any given moment: 1) pushing herself and those around her to keep going; 2) making sure that everyone is having a great time; 3) turning the music and fans up full blast!


Favorite Crossfit Movement: Handstand walks, dumbbell snatches, and double unders

Least Favorite Crossfit Movement: Thrusters and Ring Muscle Ups (I still can’t do them)

Favorite WOD: Long Chippers with gymnastic movements
